Walnut Square Tower Clock Foundation
I898 - One Hundred Years of Teaching and Learning, Beneath the Tower Clock
- 1998
The Clock was removed from the tower in September 1997.
By purchasing vour selected minute in time, your $25 donation will be a
significant part in the rebirth of this historic timepiece.
Help us bring the clock back in time
for the 100th Anniversary this fall!
Can you think of a better way to commemorate any of these (or other) special times? Select any day of the week, A.M or P.M. (Only times not available are minutes on the hour; i.e., 3:59 and 4:01 are OK, not 4:00.) All donations are Tax Deductible.
All donors will have their names listed in a book, which will be displayed
at Walnut Square School, and certificates will be issued.
A new and exciting aspect of the tower clock project will become a reality thanks to the city's support. The clock mechanism, a functioning work of art, will be placed on the third floor of the school rather than in the tower. This will enable the public to view this magnificent timepiece.
In addition, the clock mechanism will become an educational tool for all the children throughout the Haverhill School System. The students will have the opportunity to see this weight driven, pendulum regulated timepiece operate as it was originally designed, 100 years ago.
